Ikan Patin Goreng Bumbu Kuning

Ingredients:

  • 5 pieces of patin fish
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Spice Paste:
    • 4 cloves of garlic
    • 2 candlenuts
    • 2 thumb-sized pieces of turmeric

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish:

    • Clean the patin fish thoroughly and place it in a bowl.
    • Squeeze lime juice over the fish and sprinkle with salt. Allow the fish to marinate for 15 minutes to reduce any fishy odor. Rinse the fish with water and pat dry.
  2. Season the Fish:

    • In a blender or food processor, blend the garlic, candlenuts, and turmeric until you achieve a smooth spice paste.
    • Rub the spice paste evenly over the fish. Add additional salt and pepper to taste. Let the fish marinate for 15-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate.
  3. Fry the Fish:

    • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
    • Fry the marinated fish until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness.
  4. Serve:

    • Remove the fish from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
    • Serve the golden yellow patin fish hot with your choice of sides.

Enjoy this aromatic and flavorful Ikan Patin Goreng Bumbu Kuning, a dish that brings a taste of traditional Indonesian cuisine to your table!
