Category: Main Dishes
Serves: 4

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Flatbreads (Piadine) 4
Gorgonzola Cheese 400g
Prosciutto Crudo (Cured Ham) 16 slices
Beefheart Tomatoes (Pomodori cuore di bue) 400g
Fine Salt To taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by thoroughly washing and preparing the tomatoes. Once cleaned, slice them into 1 cm thick rounds.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, adding a pinch of fine salt to the pan.
  3. Place the piadine in the pan and cook for about 1 minute on each side, ensuring both sides are lightly toasted. After this, remove the piadine from the pan and place them on a cutting board.
  4. Spread a generous amount of gorgonzola cheese on one half of each piadina, letting the creamy texture cover the surface completely.
  5. Add the sliced tomatoes over the gorgonzola, followed by 4 slices of prosciutto crudo on top of the tomatoes.
  6. Gently fold the piadina in half to encase the delicious ingredients inside.
  7. Your Piadina with Gorgonzola, Prosciutto Crudo, and Tomatoes is now ready to be enjoyed, warm and full of flavor.

Cooking Notes:
This piadina is a wonderful combination of rich and savory flavors from the gorgonzola and prosciutto, balanced by the freshness of the tomatoes. Perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner!
