Pepes Ikan Mas Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg carp fish
- 1 lime
- 2 bunches of Thai basil
- 1 piece turmeric leaf, thinly sliced
Spice Paste:
- 8 red chilies
- 4 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1-inch piece ginger
- 1-inch piece turmeric
- 5 candlenuts
- 1 stalk lemongrass
- Salt, to taste
- Seasoning powder, to taste
Banana Leaf Wrapping:
- Banana leaves, for wrapping
Instructions:

Clean the fish and marinate it in lime juice for about 10 minutes.

In a blender or food processor, grind together the red chilies, shallots, garlic, ginger, turmeric, candlenuts, and lemongrass until it forms a smooth paste.
