Sweet and Sour Chicken ala Restaurant-Style at Home
Ingredients:
- 250 grams chicken breast, diced
- 1 red or green bell pepper, diced
- A handful of pineapple chunks, diced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- Water and cornstarch mixture (2:1 ratio)
- Sweet and sour sauce:
- 4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon Maggi seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Raja Rasa sauce
- Chicken marinade:
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the diced chicken with the chicken marinade ingredients. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

Prepare the Sauce: In another bowl, mix together tomato ketchup, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, chicken bouillon powder, salt, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, Maggi seasoning, and Raja Rasa sauce. Set aside.

Cooking Process:
- Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté sliced onion, crushed garlic, and diced bell pepper until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan. Stir fry until the chicken is cooked through.
- Pour in the sweet and sour sauce mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Gradually add the water and cornstarch mixture while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and sugar according to your preference.
