Kiwi Popsicles Recipe (No Sugar Added)

A delightful, healthy, and refreshing treat that’s perfect for a summer snack or a light dessert, these Kiwi Popsicles are made without any added sugar, relying on the natural sweetness of honey and the tangy flavor of Greek yogurt. Ideal for vegetarians, these popsicles are not only fun to make but also an excellent way to enjoy the nutritional benefits of fresh kiwi and yogurt.

Servings

  • Yields: 5 popsicles

  • Diet: Vegetarian

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Begin by peeling the kiwis carefully. Cut two of the kiwis into round slices, keeping them aside to place in the molds later.

  2. Make the Kiwi Yogurt Mixture:
Place the hung curd (Greek yogurt), two peeled kiwis, and honey into a mixer or blender jar. Blend everything together until smooth to form a thick, creamy puree. Adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired.

  3. Fill the Molds:
Pour the kiwi-yogurt mixture into your popsicle molds, filling them about 2/3 of the way. Drop the remaining kiwi slices into each mold to add a fun visual element and a burst of extra flavor in each popsicle.

  4. Freeze:
Place the filled molds into the freezer and let them freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight, ensuring they set completely.

  5. Unmold the Popsicles:
Once frozen, take the popsicle molds out of the freezer. To release the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, which will help them come out easily without breaking.

  6. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve your homemade Kiwi Popsicles as a refreshing dessert or snack. For a delightful meal pairing, enjoy them after a serving of Aglio Olio Pasta and Perfect Gooey Mozzarella Garlic Bread for a complete Italian-inspired meal experience.

Additional Tips

  • You can substitute honey with a natural sweetener of your choice, such as agave syrup or maple syrup, depending on your taste preferences.
  • For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a squeeze of lime or a few mint leaves to the mixture before blending.
  • If you like, you can experiment with adding other fruits like strawberries or mango to the popsicle mixture for a mixed fruit popsicle.

Enjoy your refreshing and healthy Kiwi Popsicles, perfect for those hot summer days or any time you crave something light and delicious!
