Ayam Saus Mentega (Butter Chicken)

Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 onion
  • 5 shallots
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • Ground coriander (to taste)
  • Ground pepper (to taste)
  • 5 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 sachet of sweetened condensed milk
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Margarine
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Start by thoroughly washing the chicken breast. Once cleaned, cut it into small cubes. Steam the chicken cubes until they are half-cooked.
  2. Season the Chicken:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the steamed chicken cubes with a pinch of salt, ground pepper, and ground coriander. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix again until the chicken pieces are well coated with the flour.
  3. Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat a sufficient amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the flour-coated chicken pieces. Fry until the chicken is fully cooked and has a golden-brown crust. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
