45g Caster sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (375°F) to ensure it’s ready when you need it.

  2. Prepare Cake Pans: Spray and flour two springform or layer tins (24 cm or 9 inches) to prevent the cake from sticking.

  3. Beat Egg Yolks: In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with vanilla essence until smooth and creamy.

  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the oil, boiling water, and lemon juice to the egg yolk mixture, continuing to beat until the mixture becomes foamy.
