Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF.
- Grease a 15×10-inch jelly-roll pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixer bowl, beat together sugar, margarine, and vanilla until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in the canned pumpkin until well combined.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture until just incorporated.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.
- Meanwhile, prepare the Maple Icing.
- For the frosting, thoroughly cream together butter and powdered sugar, gradually adding maple syrup until the mixture is light and spreadable.
- Once the bars are cooled, spread the Maple Icing evenly over the top.
