Instructions

  1. Prepare the Paneer

    • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick sauté pan.
    • Add the paneer cubes and shallow fry them until they turn light golden brown on all sides.
    • Remove the fried paneer cubes and place them on a kitchen cloth or paper towel to absorb excess oil. Set aside.
  2. Begin the Curry Base

    • In the same pan, add the turmeric powder and dry red chilies. Sauté for about 30 seconds to release their aroma.
    • Add the chopped onions and cook, stirring constantly, until they turn lightly golden brown.
  3. Incorporate Aromatics

    • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Cook the Spinach

    • Pour the pureed spinach into the pan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add Flavorful Ingredients

    • Mix in the chopped tomatoes, yogurt, soy sauce, and black pepper powder. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
    • Let the mixture cook for another 6-8 minutes. Add a splash of water if the curry thickens too much.
  6. Combine Paneer with the Curry

    • Gently fold in the fried paneer cubes and let them simmer in the curry for 5 minutes, allowing them to absorb the flavors.
  7. Final Touch

    • Turn off the heat and let the Paneer Bhutuwa rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
