  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon juice

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough: Start by making the momo dough. In a mixing bowl, add the all-purpose flour (maida) and slowly add water to knead the dough. The dough should be smooth and pliable. Once done, cover it with a damp cloth and set it aside to rest for about 10 minutes.

  2. Prepare the Paneer Tikka Filling:
    a. In a mixing bowl, crumble the paneer into small pieces.
    b. Add the fresh cream, tandoori masala, garam masala powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, chaat masala, salt, and lemon juice to the paneer.
    c. Mix everything thoroughly to coat the paneer with the spices. Let it marinate for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. Assemble the Momo:
    a. Once the dough has rested, divide it into small equal-sized portions.
    b. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it into a small disc.
    c. Place a spoonful of the paneer tikka filling in the center of each disc.
    d. Carefully fold the edges to seal the momo, shaping it into a pleated dumpling.

  4. Steam the Momos:
    a. Grease a steamer plate with a little oil and place the momos on it, leaving space between each momo.
    b. Steam the momos for about 15-20 minutes until they are cooked through and the dough is soft and tender.

  5. Serve:
Serve the Paneer Tikka Momos hot with a spicy dipping sauce or chutney of your choice. Enjoy!

This recipe makes a great appetizer for parties or a tasty snack anytime!
