  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 2 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • Almonds, for garnish
  • Additional peach preserves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1 In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water; mix well.
2 Add pudding mix to the bowl and beat with a wire whisk until well blended.

5 Place 4 cups of cake pieces in a 2-quart glass serving bowl or trifle dish.

7 Top the cake layer with half of the sliced peaches, 1/4 cup of peach preserves, and half of the pudding mixture.
8 Repeat the layering process with the remaining cake, sherry, peaches, and pudding mixture.
9 Chill the assembled trifle in the refrigerator until set.
10 Garnish the chilled trifle with almonds and additional peach preserves if desired.
11 Serve and enjoy! Refrigerate any leftovers for later indulgence.
