Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Egg: Place the egg gently into a flat-bottomed pan or pot. Ensure that the pan is clean and dry.

  2. Add Water: Pour enough water into the pan to cover the egg by about three-quarters of its height. The water level should be sufficient to submerge the egg almost completely, but not overflow the pan.

  3. Cook the Egg:

    • Cover the pan with the lid and turn on the heat to high.
    • Bring the water to a rolling boil, and cook the egg with the lid on for exactly 2 minutes. For precision, use a timer to ensure accuracy.
  4. Adjust the Heat: After 2 minutes, reduce the heat to low while keeping the pan covered. Continue to cook the egg on low heat for an additional 3 minutes. The pan should remain covered throughout this period.

  5. Finish Cooking:
