Ingredients:

Instructions:

Step Description
1 Put the prunes in a good sized saucepan, preferably heavy-bottomed.
2 Pour in enough water to cover the prunes. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it cook over a “hard simmer/light boil.”

4 Once the prunes are soft, puree them in a food processor until smooth.
5 If the puree is runny, cook it until thickened to your desired consistency.
6 Prepare the dough according to the recipe (#20108) or halve the recipe and use it to fill with prune filling.
7 Follow the filling and crimping directions provided in the recipe (#20108).
8 Boil the perogies in water until they float, then drain them.
9 Optionally, fry the perogies in butter for added flavor.
10 Serve the perogies with a dollop of vanilla ice cream or your favorite topping.
11 Any leftover filling can be frozen for future use.
