Super Simple Ayam Bakar Teflon

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 chicken, cut into pieces
  • Spice Blend:
    • 3 cloves garlic
    • 2 shallots
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
    • A small piece of ginger
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
    • 1/2 tablespoon chili sauce
    • Water, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Spice Blend: In a food processor or mortar and pestle, finely grind the garlic, shallots, salt, black pepper, coriander, and ginger until smooth. This aromatic paste will be the base of your dish.

  2. Cook the Spice Paste: Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the spice blend and sauté until it becomes fragrant and starts to caramelize, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add Bay Leaf and Chicken: Toss in the bay leaf and chicken pieces. Stir well to coat the chicken with the spice mixture.
