  • 1 small Plantain Stem
  • Water, as required

Instructions:

  1. Begin by peeling the outer skin of the plantain stem. It should come off easily.
  2. Chop the inner part of the stem coarsely and blend it with about 200 ml of water in a mixer grinder.
  3. Once blended, strain the juice using a thin cotton cloth (metallic strainers might not work effectively).
  4. In a separate blender, mix together the yogurt, hing, salt, lemon juice, and curry leaves. Blend until smooth and without any lumps.
  5. Combine the strained plantain stem juice with the yogurt mixture.
  6. Refrigerate the beverage for a few minutes for a chilled and refreshing drink.
  7. Serve Vazhaithandu Neer Mor as a revitalizing drink alongside a meal of Mixed Vegetable Sambar, Chow Chow Thoran, and Steamed Rice.
