BBQ Beef Short Ribs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg beef short ribs
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, smashed
  • 2 pieces ginger, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 5 tablespoons Del Monte BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • Water
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Short Ribs:
    In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the beef short ribs along with bay leaves, smashed lemongrass, ginger, and salt. Simmer until the beef is tender and fully cooked. Once done, drain the beef and set it aside. For a crispier texture, lightly fry the ribs in a pan with a bit of cooking oil until they develop a golden-brown crust.

  2. Cook the Aromatics:

  4. Combine Beef and Sauce:
    Add the pre-cooked beef short ribs to the sauce mixture. Stir to ensure the ribs are well coated with the BBQ sauce. Continue to cook until the sauce reduces and thickens to your desired consistency.

  5. Serve:
    Serve the BBQ beef short ribs hot with a side of steamed rice.
