Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a Dutch oven or large frying pan with a lid, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing until they become transparent. Then, incorporate the tomato paste, blending it well into the mixture.

  2. Add Tomatoes: Remove the hard stems from the whole tomatoes; simply grab and tear them off. Hand crush each tomato and add them to the sauce mixture.

  3. Season the Sauce: Stir in the tomato sauce along with all your spices, chicken bouillon cubes, and Chianti wine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover and let it simmer for 1½ to 2 hours.

  4. Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, minced garlic, onion powder, and fresh parsley. Mix until well combined; it may feel a bit mushy, but keep mixing. If the mixture remains too wet, add a little more breadcrumbs to achieve the desired consistency.

  5. Shape the Meatballs: Form the mixture into meatballs of your preferred size.

  6. Brown the Sausages and Meatballs: In a large frying pan, add the sausage links. Once they start to brown, gently add the meatballs to the same pan. Carefully flip both the sausages and meatballs as they cook, ensuring they are browned but not burned.

  7. Combine with Sauce: Once browned, drain the sausage and meatballs on paper towels, then add them to the pot of simmering sauce. Allow everything to mingle in the pot for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.

  8. Serve and Enjoy: After the sauce has simmered to perfection, serve it over your choice of pasta. Enjoy the ultimate comfort food experience!

This delightful dish is perfect for gatherings or a cozy family dinner, ensuring satisfaction with every bite.
