Ingredients:
- 300 grams thinly sliced beef
- Margarine (as needed)
- Cooking oil (as needed)
For Marinade:
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
For the Stir-Fry:
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 cm ginger, crushed
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce (Pronas or your preferred brand)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef:
- In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for approximately 10-15 minutes.
-
Cook the Beef:
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of margarine along with a little cooking oil. Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook briefly until it is just browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
-
Stir-Fry the Aromatics:
- In the same pan, add a bit more margarine and cooking oil if needed. Sauté the minced garlic and crushed ginger until fragrant.
-
Combine Ingredients:
- Return the beef to the pan with the garlic and ginger. Stir well to combine. Add enough water to cover the beef slightly. Season with salt, black pepper, Teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir everything together and adjust the seasoning to taste.
-
Cook and Finish:
- Allow the mixture to simmer until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened and reduced. Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper to the pan and cook for an additional brief period, just until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
-
Serve:
- Remove from heat. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice for a delightful meal.
