Krenseng Tahu Tempe

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Tahu (tofu) 1 block
Tempe 1 block
Lengkuas (galangal) 1 stick
Santan (coconut milk) To taste
Bawang Merah (red onion) 2 pieces
Bawang Putih (garlic) 3 cloves
Cabe Merah Besar (large red chili) 1 piece
Cabe Kecil (small chili) 2 pieces
Kecap (soy sauce) To taste
Saori/Bumbu lain (seasoning) To taste

Instructions:

  1. Start by cutting the tofu and tempe into small cubes. Then, finely chop the large red chili, small chilies, red onion, and garlic.

  2. In a pan, crush the chopped ingredients together until they are slightly smooth. Sauté this mixture until fragrant, then add the galangal. Allow it to cook until the aroma fills the air.

  3. Next, gently introduce the tofu and tempe cubes into the pan, mixing them with the sautéed ingredients. Cook until the flavors meld and the spices are absorbed.

  4. Pour in the coconut milk according to your serving size, followed by the soy sauce and any other seasonings you prefer. Stir to combine.

  5. Cover the pan with a lid and let the dish simmer, allowing the flavors to deepen and infuse into the tofu and tempe.
