Stir-Fried Broccoli with Ground Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli
  • 100 grams ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bell peppers (green or yellow)
  • 1 small piece of ginger
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Cooking oil, as needed
  • A small amount of water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables: Begin by washing and cutting the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Slice the onion and bell peppers into thin strips. Finely chop the garlic and gently crush the ginger to release its flavor.

  2. Heat the Oil: In a large pan or wok, heat a small amount of cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sliced onion, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

  3. Cook the Beef: Add the ground beef and ginger to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

  4. Add Vegetables: Incorporate the sliced bell peppers and broccoli into the pan. Stir well to combine with the beef and onions.

  5. Season the Dish: Stir in the salt, sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly to ensure that the vegetables and beef are evenly coated with the seasonings.

  6. Simmer: Pour in a small amount of water to help the broccoli steam and cook evenly. Cover the pan and let it cook for a few minutes until the broccoli is tender and the flavors meld together.

  7. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or sugar as desired.

  8. Serve: Once everything is cooked to your liking, remove from heat. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy your flavorful stir-fried broccoli with ground beef.

This dish makes for a quick, nutritious, and satisfying meal that pairs wonderfully with steamed rice or noodles.
