Stir-Fried Green Beans with Ground Beef

Ingredients:

  • 600 grams green beans, trimmed and sliced diagonally
  • Ground beef, amount to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 8 red bird’s eye chilies (optional, for heat)
  • 100-150 ml water
  • Cooking oil, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Green Beans: Wash the green beans thoroughly and cut them into diagonal slices.

  2. Cook the Garlic: Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the smashed garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink.

  4. Add Water: Pour in 100-150 ml of water and bring it to a boil, stirring occasionally.

  5. Incorporate the Beans: Add the sliced green beans and, if using, the red bird’s eye chilies to the pan. Season with oyster sauce and granulated sugar.

  6. Stir and Simmer: Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Adjust seasoning to taste. Let the mixture cook until the green beans are tender.

  7. Finish Cooking: Once the beans are cooked to your desired level of tenderness, turn off the heat.

  8. Serve: Your dish is now ready to be served. Enjoy this flavorful and hearty stir-fry!

This simple yet delicious stir-fry combines the crispiness of green beans with the savory richness of ground beef, enhanced by the umami of oyster sauce and a hint of sweetness. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!
