Beef Bistik Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/4 kg beef chuck, thinly sliced and washed
- Water, as needed
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- Cooking oil, as needed
- Margarine, as needed
- Salt and seasoning powder, to taste
Marinade Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
Thickening Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in 3 tablespoons water
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Onion: Heat margarine in a pan and sauté the sliced onion until softened. Set aside.
-
Marinate the Beef: Combine the sliced beef with the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Mix well and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
-
Cook the Beef: Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a pan. Add the marinated beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until it changes color.
-
Simmer the Beef: Add enough water to the pan to cover the beef. Cook over low heat until the sauce reduces and the beef becomes tender. Season with salt and seasoning powder to taste.
-
Thicken the Sauce: Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
-
Finish the Dish: Transfer the cooked beef to a serving dish. Top with the sautéed onions and serve warm.
Enjoy your delicious Beef Bistik, a flavorful dish perfect for any occasion!
