Bakso Tempe Ayam: A Delicious Indonesian Delight 😘😘😘

Ingredients

Bakso Ingredients
Tempe 200 grams
Chicken Breast 100 grams
Tapioca Flour 100 grams
Garlic 9 cloves, minced
Ground Pepper To taste
Salt To taste
Sugar To taste
Ice Water 100 ml
Egg 1
Sauté Ingredients
Onion (sliced) 1 large
Garlic (minced) 3 cloves
Ground Pepper 1 teaspoon
Red Chilies (sliced) 2 large
Green Onions & Celery To taste, chopped
Oyster Sauce 2 tablespoons
Sweet Soy Sauce 3 tablespoons
Sugar To taste
Salt To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bakso: Steam the tempe until cooked, then mash or blend until smooth. Next, finely grind the chicken breast along with the minced garlic.

  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed tempe, ground chicken, and garlic with all the bakso ingredients except for the ice water and egg. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. Add Final Touches: Once well combined, add the egg and ice water to the mixture. Mix until the batter is smooth and cohesive.

  4. Shape the Bakso: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Shape the mixture into small balls and gently place them into the boiling water. Continue until all the mixture is used.

  5. Cook the Bakso: Allow the bakso to boil until they float to the surface, indicating they are cooked. Remove them and set aside to drain.

  6. Fry the Bakso: Heat oil in a pan and fry the bakso until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Sauté the Vegetables: In another pan, heat a small amount of oil and sauté the minced garlic, ground pepper, sliced onion, and chilies until fragrant. Add the oyster sauce and fried bakso, tossing everything together.

  8. Final Seasoning: Drizzle in the sweet soy sauce, and adjust with sugar and salt to taste. Stir well to combine all flavors.
