Orak-Arik with Carrots and Green Beans

This delightful Indonesian stir-fry, known as Orak-Arik, is a simple yet flavorful dish featuring scrambled eggs, crisp carrots, and tender green beans. It’s perfect as a quick meal, served alongside warm rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 4-5 green beans
  • 4 cloves of shallots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Seasoning (such as bouillon or stock powder) to taste
  • Cooking oil for sautéing

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:

    • Wash the carrot and peel it. Slice it thinly into matchstick-sized pieces.
    • Rinse the green beans and cut them diagonally into bite-sized pieces.
