Pindang Telur Teh Celup Recipe
Ingredients:
- 5-10 eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
- 2 tea bags
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons palm sugar, sliced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 stalk lemongrass, smashed
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 kaffir lime leaves
- 1 liter water
- Salt and chicken stock powder, to taste
Instructions:
- Place the peeled hard-boiled eggs into a saucepan.
- Add the tea bags, sweet soy sauce, palm sugar, granulated sugar, smashed lemongrass, bay leaves, and kaffir lime leaves.
- Pour in the water and stir to combine all the ingredients.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid has reduced and thickened, concentrating the flavors. This should take about 20-30 minutes.
- Season with salt and chicken stock powder to taste.
- Once the sauce has reduced and the eggs have absorbed the flavors, remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Serve the Pindang Telur Teh Celup hot or at room temperature.
