Pindang Telur Teh Celup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5-10 eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 2 tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons palm sugar, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, smashed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 liter water
  • Salt and chicken stock powder, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Place the peeled hard-boiled eggs into a saucepan.
  2. Add the tea bags, sweet soy sauce, palm sugar, granulated sugar, smashed lemongrass, bay leaves, and kaffir lime leaves.
  3. Pour in the water and stir to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid has reduced and thickened, concentrating the flavors. This should take about 20-30 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and chicken stock powder to taste.
  6. Once the sauce has reduced and the eggs have absorbed the flavors, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  7. Serve the Pindang Telur Teh Celup hot or at room temperature.

Enjoy the rich and aromatic flavors of this traditional Indonesian egg dish. Happy Cooking!
