Spicy Balado Eggs
Ingredients:
- 5 large eggs
- For the Spice Paste:
- 5 shallots
- 5 garlic cloves
- 10 red chilies (optional, for extra heat)
- 2 candlenuts
- Salt, to taste
- Totole (or bouillon powder), to taste

Instructions:
-
Prepare the Eggs: - Begin by boiling the eggs until they are fully cooked. Once done, peel the eggs and set them aside. If you prefer a crispy texture, you can choose to lightly fry the peeled eggs in oil.

-
Make the Spice Paste: Related Articles- In a blender or food processor, combine the shallots, garlic, and red chilies (if using). Add the candlenuts and a pinch of salt. Blend until you achieve a smooth paste.

-
Cook the Paste: - Heat some oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the spice paste to the hot oil and sauté until the aroma is released and the paste becomes fragrant.

-
Combine and Season: - Gently add the boiled eggs to the skillet, ensuring they are coated with the spice paste. Sprinkle a little Totole (or bouillon powder) to enhance the flavor. Adjust the seasoning with additional salt if needed.

-
Finish and Serve: - Stir everything gently to combine, allowing the eggs to absorb the flavors of the spice paste. Once well-mixed and heated through, your Spicy Balado Eggs are ready to be served. Enjoy this flavorful dish as a delicious accompaniment to your meal!
