- 1 thumb-sized piece of galangal, smashed

- 7 shallots
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 6 large red chilies
- 6 bird’s eye chilies (or to taste)
- 1 pack of grated coconut (kerisik)
- 3 candlenuts
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
- Salt and seasoning to taste
- Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis), to taste
- Water, as needed
- A little oil for sautéing

- 200 ml of chicken coconut milk (Ayam Brand)
