Ingredients:
Quantity | Ingredient |
---|---|
4 | Boneless, skinless chicken breasts |
1 | Onion |
3 | Tablespoons of margarine or cooking oil |
2 | Tablespoons of red pepper flakes |
4 | Cups of hot sauce |
Instructions:
-
Note: Regular chicken can be substituted for more flavor impact!
-
Preheat a large saucepan on top of the stove.
-
Chop the onion into one-inch bite-size pieces.
-
Add 2 tablespoons of margarine or cooking oil to the preheated saucepan.
-
Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes to release the fiery heat into the margarine or oil.
-
After about two minutes, ensuring the pepper flakes do not burn, add the onions and sautรฉ until they are either translucent or lightly browned.
-
Add the chicken breasts to the saucepan and cook with the lid on for 20 minutes.
-
Note: Remember to keep the heat on medium and check periodically to ensure the hot sauce doesn’t evaporate or burn.
-
If you need to add more hot sauce, that is fine. Or if you would rather substitute water instead of more hot sauce, that is fine also.
