A delicious sandwich filled with soft fried eggs, nestled between two slices of toasted whole wheat bread and smeared with flavorful Harissa sauce – the perfect midday treat. Quick and simple to make, this sandwich combines the richness of eggs and the bold taste of Harissa for an unforgettable snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Whole Wheat Brown Bread
  • 1 Tomato, sliced into rounds
  • 1/4 cup Lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 Onion, cut into rings
  • 2 tablespoons Veeba Harissa Sauce
  • Butter (Salted), for toasting
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  1. Begin by toasting the bread: Heat a flat skillet over medium heat and add butter. Toast the bread until it has a golden-brown crust on both sides.

  2. Fry the eggs: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Crack each egg into the pan, ensuring the yolk stays intact. Reduce the heat to low and slow-cook the eggs until the whites are set and the yolk is lightly cooked on top. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.

  3. Assemble the sandwich: Spread a tablespoon of Harissa sauce on one side of each slice of toasted bread. On one slice, layer the lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, and onion rings. Carefully place the fried egg on top. Finish by placing the second slice of toasted bread on top, with Harissa sauce facing inward.

  4. Serve: Enjoy your Egg and Harissa Sandwich with a side of crispy Garlic & Ginger Spiced Potato Wedges and a refreshing glass of Carrot Pineapple Orange Juice.

This fusion recipe is perfect for those looking for a quick, flavorful snack that’s both satisfying and packed with taste!
