Telor Balado Endolita: A Flavorful Indonesian Spicy Egg Dish

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs (hard-boiled and peeled)
  • 1 stalk green onion (sliced diagonally)
  • Oil for frying the eggs and sautéing the spices
  • Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis), to taste
  • For the spice paste:
    • 4 red chilies (adjust to taste for spiciness)
    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 5 shallots
    • 2 candlenuts
    • Palm sugar, to taste
    • Salt, to taste
  • Water, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    Gather all your ingredients and have them ready for use.

  2. Fry the Eggs:
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the hard-boiled eggs until their surfaces turn golden brown and slightly wrinkled. This step enhances the texture and flavor of the eggs.
