Nugget Tempe Penyet Campur Pete

Homemade Nugget Tempe 2 pieces (preferably large)
Pete (stink beans) To taste, halved
Sambal Ingredients:
Red chili peppers (cabe rawit) 15 pieces
Garlic 1 clove
Salt To taste
Cooked shrimp paste (terasi) 1/4 teaspoon
Hot cooking oil 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pete: Begin by frying the stink beans (pete) in hot oil until they are slightly wilted but still vibrant.

  2. Fry the Nugget Tempe: In the same or a separate pan, fry the homemade nugget tempe until they achieve a beautiful golden color.

  3. Make the Sambal: In a mortar, combine the red chili peppers, garlic, salt, and cooked shrimp paste. Using a pestle, pound the ingredients together until you reach a smooth consistency. Add in the hot cooking oil and mix well.
