Ikan Selar Suwir

Ingredients:

  • 3 whole selar fish
  • 5 shallots
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 6 dried chilies
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 1 piece of turmeric (about 1-inch)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 kaffir lime leaves
  • Salt, to taste
  • A pinch of Diabetasol sugar (or any preferred sweetener)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish: Begin by steaming the selar fish until fully cooked. Once done, allow the fish to cool slightly, then shred the flesh and set it aside, ensuring to separate any bones.

  2. Make the Spice Paste: In a blender or food processor, combine the shallots, garlic, and dried chilies. Blend until you achieve a smooth paste.
