Spicy Tahu Telor (Tofu and Egg)

Ingredients

Bird’s eye chili peppers 2 pieces
Shallots 5 pieces
Garlic 1 clove

Galangal A slice
Salam leaves 3 pieces

Instructions

  1. Begin by finely grinding the shallots, garlic, red curly chili peppers, bird’s eye chili peppers, candlenuts, ginger, and galangal into a smooth paste.
  2. In a pan, heat a bit of oil and sauté the ground mixture until fragrant.
  3. Add the salam leaves and stir, allowing the mixture to release its aromatic oils.
  4. Pour in some water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Carefully add the fried tofu and sunny-side-up eggs into the boiling mixture.
  6. Season with salt, sugar, and flavor enhancer, adjusting the taste as desired.
  7. Once everything is well combined, serve hot and enjoy your spicy Tahu Telor!
