Tumis Tahu Bakso Recipe
Ingredients:
- 5 pieces of tofu, cut into small cubes
- 7 pieces of meatballs (bakso), cut into small pieces
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 kaffir lime leaf
- 1 small piece of ginger, smashed
- 1 small piece of galangal, smashed
- 1 stalk of lemongrass, smashed
- Salt, to taste
- For Sautéing:
- 5 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 5 long green chilies
- 10 bird’s eye chilies (cabe rawit)

Prepare the Tofu: Lightly fry the tofu cubes until they are golden brown and slightly crisp. Set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a bit of oil in a pan. Sauté the finely chopped shallots and garlic until they become fragrant and translucent. Add the smashed lemongrass, galangal, ginger, bay leaf, and kaffir lime leaf. Continue to sauté until the aroma is released.

Combine Ingredients: Add the fried tofu and cut meatballs to the pan. Stir well to combine the ingredients.

Season and Simmer: Add salt to taste and pour in a little water. Stir continuously until the water evaporates and the tofu and meatballs are well coated with the aromatic spices. Adjust the seasoning as needed.

Final Touch: Allow the mixture to cook until it is well-mixed and slightly dry. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
