Ikan Laut Jamur Tiram Kuah Tomyam (Tom Yam Soup with Seafood and Oyster Mushrooms)

Ingredients:

  • 6 pieces of sea fish (any type you prefer)
  • 100 grams of oyster mushrooms (feel free to add more if you like)
  • 6 shallots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 5 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 stalk of lemongrass
  • 10 red chilies (remove the seeds if you prefer a milder taste)
  • 2 tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon of salt (adjust to taste)
  • Flavor enhancer (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 3 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar

Preparation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Spice Paste:

    • In a blender, combine the shallots, garlic, turmeric, ginger, and red chilies. Blend until you achieve a smooth paste.
  2. Sauté the Spice Paste:

    • Heat the margarine in a large pot over medium heat.
    • Add the blended spice paste and sauté until it becomes fragrant and aromatic.
  3. Prepare the Broth:

    • Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
    • Add the kaffir lime leaves, bay leaves, and lemongrass to the pot.
