Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine raspberry gelatin powder, grape gelatin, and unflavored gelatin.
  2. Add boiling water and stir until the gelatins completely dissolve. Chill the mixture until lukewarm, approximately 20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, gently pull the straws to extend them to full length, and place them in a tall container.
  4. Blend cream and food coloring with the lukewarm gelatin mixture. Pour the mixture into the container, filling the straws.
  5. Chill until the gelatin is firm, at least 8 hours, or cover and chill for up to 2 days.
  6. Once the gelatin is set, pull the straws from the container. If using a carton, tear the carton away from the straws.
  7. Pull the straws apart and run hot tap water over 3 to 4 straws at a time for about 2 seconds. Starting at the empty ends, push the worms from the straws using a rolling pin or your fingers.
  8. Lay the worms on waxed paper-lined baking sheets.
  9. Cover and chill until ready to use, at least 1 hour or up to 2 days. The worms can hold at room temperature for up to 2 hours.

📝 Tip: To enhance the spookiness, consider adding edible eyes or dusting the worms with powdered sugar before serving!
