Sweet and Sour Shrimp with Carrots and Tofu

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/4 kg Shrimp
1 medium Carrot (sliced)
5 pieces Tofu (cubed)
2 Shallots (sliced)
1 Garlic (minced)
1/2 Onion (sliced)
4 tbsp Chili sauce
5 tbsp Ketchup
2 tbsp Oyster sauce
1 cup Water
To taste Salt
To taste Ground black pepper
To taste Flavor enhancer

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat and sauté the shallots, garlic, and onion until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add the shrimp and sliced carrots, stirring until the shrimp turns pink and the carrots soften slightly.
  3. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, gently add the cubed tofu.
  4. Stir in the chili sauce, ketchup, and oyster sauce, seasoning with salt, ground black pepper, and flavor enhancer to taste.
  5. Once everything is well combined and heated through, turn off the heat.
  6. Serve the sweet and sour shrimp, carrots, and tofu hot alongside steaming white rice for the ultimate dining experience.

Note: For added texture, lightly fry the tofu until golden and semi-crispy before adding it to the dish. Enjoy!
