Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg chicken breast (finely ground or blended)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 medium carrots (finely grated or blended)
  • 3 tablespoons tapioca flour (or cornstarch)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder (Royco or similar)
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • Extra all-purpose flour (for dipping)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • Oil (for steaming and frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a blender or food processor, combine the chicken breast, carrots, and egg. Blend until smooth. Transfer this mixture to a large mixing bowl.

  2. Season and Mix: Add the minced garlic, tapioca flour, all-purpose flour, ground black pepper, chicken bouillon powder, and salt to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is evenly seasoned.

  3. Steam the Mixture: Lightly oil a steaming tray or a heatproof dish. Pour the chicken mixture into the tray, spreading it out evenly. Steam the mixture for 20 minutes over medium heat until cooked through and firm.
