Paprika Teriyaki Tofu

This delightful Paprika Teriyaki Tofu brings a fusion of flavors with a touch of sweetness and a hint of spice. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal, this recipe combines crispy tofu with a savory sauce that’s sure to please.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of Cibuntu tofu, cut into 6 pieces each
  • 1 small packet of Sajiku flour
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1 stalk green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • A pinch of ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Coat the tofu pieces with Sajiku flour evenly. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the tofu until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a separate pan, sauté the coarsely chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.

  3. Add Vegetables: Incorporate the chopped bell peppers, salt, sugar, pepper, sweet soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, green onion, and water into the pan. Stir well and let it cook until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Combine and Simmer: Once the mixture starts to simmer and the flavors meld, add the fried tofu pieces. Stir gently to coat the tofu with the sauce. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and the tofu absorbs the flavors.

  5. Finish and Serve: Turn off the heat. Serve the paprika teriyaki tofu warm with steamed rice for a complete meal.

This dish is a perfect balance of savory and sweet, with a deliciously rich sauce that complements the crispy tofu. Enjoy your meal!
