Tumis Telur Kentang Kecap (Economical and Delicious)

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 5 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • Sweet soy sauce, to taste
  • Soy sauce, to taste
  • Water, as needed
  • Cooking oil, for frying
  • Salt and sugar, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Eggs and Potatoes:

    • Begin by cooking the eggs to your preference. For this dish, fried eggs or sunny-side-up eggs work well.
    • Heat some oil in a pan and fry the diced potatoes until they are golden and crispy. Once done, remove them from the pan and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics:

    • In the same pan, add a bit more oil if necessary. Sauté the sliced shallots and garlic over medium heat until they are fragrant and translucent.
  3. Create the Sauce:

    • Add the sweet soy sauce and regular soy sauce to the pan. Adjust the amounts to suit your taste preferences. Stir well to combine with the aromatics.
    • Pour in enough water to create a sauce, allowing it to come to a boil.
  4. Combine and Cook:

    • Add the fried potatoes and cooked eggs to the pan. Gently stir to coat them with the sauce mixture.
    • Season with salt and sugar to taste. Adjust the flavors as needed, making sure everything is well-coated and heated through.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Once the sauce has thickened slightly and the flavors have melded together, your Tumis Telur Kentang Kecap is ready to serve.
    • This dish is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike, offering a delicious and budget-friendly meal. Enjoy!

Feel free to adjust the seasoning and sauce quantities to suit your personal taste and dietary preferences.
