Instructions

  1. Prepare the base:
In a medium saucepan, pour in the coconut milk and add the maple syrup. Place the pan over medium heat and stir continuously using a whisk or a spatula. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle boil, ensuring the maple syrup dissolves completely into the coconut milk.

  2. Infuse with flavors:
Once the milk mixture reaches a boil, remove it from the heat. Split the vanilla pod open, scrape out the seeds, and add them to the mixture. Discard the pod. Carefully divide the coconut milk mixture into two parts. One should be approximately 300g, and the other 150g.

  3. Spice up the mixture:
To the 300g portion, add the ground turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger. Whisk until fully incorporated, ensuring that the spices are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

  4. Prepare the popsicle mold:
Take a popsicle mold that holds 70ml per stick and fill each of the six compartments with the white coconut milk base, distributing it evenly. Place the mold in the freezer for about 10 minutes to set slightly.

  5. Freeze and serve:
After 10 minutes, remove the mold from the freezer. Place the sticks into each compartment and return the mold to the freezer. Let the popsicles freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight, ensuring they are fully set.

  6. Enjoy:
Once frozen, remove the popsicles from the mold and enjoy your homemade golden milk gelato. The creamy, flavorful popsicles offer a unique twist on a classic dessert and provide a burst of soothing spices in every bite.

This recipe is an easy, fun way to incorporate the wellness benefits of turmeric and other spices into a cool, indulgent treat. The use of coconut milk makes it vegan and dairy-free, perfect for those with dietary restrictions. Whether served as an afternoon snack or after a meal, this gelato will surely become a favorite!
