Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Slice the sub rolls all the way through and sprinkle each inside half with the oil & vinegar mixture (or bottled Italian dressing).

  2. Assembly: Spread a little mayo on top of that and add your lettuce, tomato, onion, and roasted peppers on the bottom half of the sub roll.

  3. Layering: Place your meats on top of each other (fold each slice to fit on the roll) and top with cheese slices.

  4. Cooking Options:

    • Cold Option: Eat it cold.
    • Hot Option: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the prepared sub on a cookie sheet and bake until the cheese melts and the rolls are lightly browned.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve hot subs immediately for a melty, gooey experience.
  • For a cold option, refrigerate the sub until ready to serve.

Tips:

  • Customize the sub with your favorite meats and cheeses for added variety.
  • Add some spicy pepperoni or salami for an extra kick.
  • Don’t forget to toast the sub rolls for a crispy texture if you prefer the hot option.
