- 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Oven Method:
- Preheat your oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC).
- Pour the entire contents of one can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk into a 9-inch pie plate.
- Cover the pie plate with aluminum foil, ensuring it’s sealed tightly.
- Place the covered pie plate into a larger shallow pan.
- Carefully fill the larger pan with hot water, ensuring the water level is below the top of the pie plate.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours or until the mixture is thick and caramel colored.
- Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool before serving.

Stovetop Method:
- Set up a double boiler by filling a saucepan with water and bringing it to a boil.
- Place the can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk into the top of the double boiler, ensuring it’s submerged in the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the milk simmer gently for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and turns a rich caramel color.
- Once thickened, remove the can from the heat and allow it to cool before using or storing.

Microwave Method:
- Pour the entire contents of one can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk into a 2-quart glass measuring cup.
- Cook on 50% power (medium) for 4 minutes, stirring briskly every 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth.
- Reduce the power to 30% (medium-low) and continue cooking for 20 to 26 minutes, stirring briskly every 4 minutes during the first 16 minutes and every 2 minutes during the last 4 to 10 minutes, or until the caramel is very thick and golden brown.
- Exercise caution while handling hot contents.
- Once cooked, allow the caramel to cool before serving.

- Never heat unopened cans as this could lead to an explosion.
- Ensure the water level remains below the top of the can during cooking to prevent accidents.
