Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg chicken wings
- 3 blocks tofu
- 200 ml coconut milk
- Spices:
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 5 shallots, sliced
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 cm galangal, bruised
- 2 cm ginger, bruised
- 4 green tomatoes
- 4 large green chilies
- Bird’s eye chilies (optional, to taste)
Steps:
- Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the sliced garlic, shallots, bay leaves, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add water, chicken, and tofu. Cook until halfway done.
- Pour in coconut milk, green tomatoes, and bird’s eye chilies.
- Once boiling, season with salt, sugar, and adjust the taste. Add MSG if desired.
