Beef Ribs in Sweet Soy Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg beef ribs
  • Bird’s eye chilies (to taste)
  • Red chilies (4 cloves)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Flavor enhancer (optional)
  • A little white sugar
  • 1 stalk of green onion
  • 1 small packet of Bango sweet soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Ribs: Begin by thoroughly washing the beef ribs. Next, simmer them in water for approximately 1 hour, ensuring to save some of the broth for later use.

  2. Prepare the Vegetables: Slice the red chilies diagonally, leave the bird’s eye chilies whole, cut the tomato into quarters, and dice the onion.

  3. Sauté and Simmer: Heat a suitable amount of vegetable oil in a pan. Add the pre-cooked beef ribs along with a small amount of the reserved broth. Introduce the red chilies, bird’s eye chilies, tomato, and onion to the pan, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add Seasonings: Pour in the Bango sweet soy sauce, along with a touch of beef flavor enhancer (such as Royco), and a pinch of white sugar. Stir well to combine and allow the flavors to meld together.

  5. Adjust and Serve: Let the mixture simmer until the sauce slightly thickens and the broth is well absorbed. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve hot and enjoy!

This flavorful dish pairs beautifully with steamed rice or as part of a larger meal, bringing a delightful combination of sweet and savory notes to your table.
