Herb-Spiced Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 chicken, cut into 5 pieces
- Coarsely ground black pepper
- Dried ginseng
- Dried shiitake mushrooms
- Dried goji berries or boxthorn fruit
- Fresh ginger
- Dried red dates
- Soy sauce
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken pieces into a steamer or a pot. Add soy sauce and coarsely ground black pepper. Pour in enough water to completely submerge the chicken.
