Avocado Tomato Grilled Cheese Sandwich

This Avocado Tomato Grilled Cheese Sandwich is an easy and delicious way to incorporate creamy avocado into your meals. Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Whole Wheat Brown Bread (multigrain)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (Salted), optional
  • 1/2 cup Homemade Basil Pesto (fresh basil pesto)
  • 1 Avocado, skin removed and sliced
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 2 Red Romaine Lettuce leaves, washed and towel dried
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder (crushed)
  • Shredded cheese or cheese slices, as required
  • Salt, to taste

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Begin by buttering the bread slices (if using butter) and lightly toasting them on a grill pan.
  2. Spread the homemade basil pesto evenly on two slices of bread.
  3. Arrange the tomato slices over the pesto layer.
  4. Add the sliced avocado on top of the tomatoes. Sprinkle with black pepper powder and a pinch of salt.
  5. Place a slice of cheese (or sprinkle shredded cheese) on top of the avocado.
  6. Layer the red romaine lettuce on top of the cheese, and then cover with the remaining bread slice.
  7. Grill the sandwich on both sides until the cheese starts melting and the bread turns golden brown.
