Sushi Salmon Cheese Roll vs. Egg Cheese Roll

Steps:

  2. Lay the Nori: Place a sheet of nori on top of the plastic wrap, with the rough side facing up. Sprinkle a little salt over the nori for added flavor.

  3. Add the Rice: Using a spoon, spread a thin layer of warm sushi rice evenly over the nori. Make sure to press it down gently to ensure it sticks but don’t pack it too tightly.

  4. Layer the Fillings: Begin by laying your sliced zucchini or cucumber horizontally across the middle of the rice. Next, add the grilled salmon slices or your prepared omelet (depending on which version you’re making). Finish with a generous sprinkle of grated cheese.

  5. Roll the Sushi: With the help of the bamboo mat, carefully start rolling the sushi. Press firmly as you roll to ensure the ingredients stay in place. Continue rolling until the nori wraps around the entire filling.

  6. Cut into Pieces: Once the roll is complete, remove the plastic wrap and use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 8 even pieces.

  7. Final Touch of Cheese: For an extra cheesy touch, grate more cheese over the top of the sushi rolls.
