Title: Chicken Sempol Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/4 kg ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 5 cloves garlic
- 5 shallots, fried
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp tapioca flour
- 3 spring onions, thinly sliced
- Cooking oil for frying
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (for coating)
- Bread crumbs for coating
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
Instructions:
- Blend the chicken and egg together until smooth.
- Add in the garlic, fried shallots, ground pepper, salt, all-purpose flour, tapioca flour, spring onions, and oyster sauce. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls and insert an ice cream stick into each ball. Ensure your hands are lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- If boiling, cook in hot water without boiling vigorously. Otherwise, deep fry the balls until golden brown on low heat.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Roll each ball in all-purpose flour, then coat generously with bread crumbs.
- Fry again on low heat until they turn golden brown.
- These can be stored in the freezer for future use.
