Ikan Mas Goreng (Fried Carp)

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Carp fish 4 pieces
Garlic 3 cloves
Ginger 1 piece
Turmeric 1 piece
Coriander To taste
Salt To taste
Cooking oil For frying

Instructions

  1. Begin by thoroughly cleaning the carp fish, ensuring all scales are removed and rinsing well under cold water.
  2. In a mortar and pestle or food processor, combine the garlic, ginger, turmeric, and coriander, blending them into a smooth paste.
  3. Rub the spice mixture generously over the cleaned fish, making sure to coat both the inside and outside. Allow the fish to marinate for about 15 minutes, enabling the flavors to penetrate deeply.
  4. Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, gently place the marinated fish into the oil.
  5. Fry the fish until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, which should take approximately 5-7 minutes per side depending on the thickness.
  6. Once cooked, remove the fish from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious Ikan Mas Goreng!
